CHICAGO — An 8,000-square-foot co-op overlooking Lincoln Park is on the market for $10.75 million.

Inside a building designed by Chicago architect Howard Van Doren Shaw, who is known for his work on Second Presbyterian Church, 2450 N. Lakeview Ave. No. 10 has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two powder rooms. A private elevator opens into the home, which covers the entire 10th floor of the building.

The front gallery features the marble floor that has been in place since the home was completed in 1923, according to Baird & Warner's Millie Rosenbloom.

The living room has French Versailles parquet hardwood floors, Italian silk wall coverings and one of the home's five wood-burning fireplaces. A fireplace and the same type of floor are found in the dining room.

The kitchen, butler's pantry and breakfast room feature Gothic molding and cabinetry along with limestone and green marble floors.

Among the many appliances in the kitchen are a Wolf gas stove, two dishwashers, two wine coolers, three garbage disposals and three sinks.

The library has hand-polished mahogany paneled walls, a wet bar and a fireplace.

The master suite includes a bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and a walk-in closet and dressing area. The master bathroom features artwork by New York City artist Chuck Fischer, a soaking tub, a shower, heated marble floors and a fireplace.

The unit also has an exercise room, office, telecommunications room, laundry room, service elevator and a service hall.

For information, call Rosenbloom at 312-980-1517.

The unit is the second most expensive home on the market in Lincoln Park. An estate covering five city lots at 1955 N. Burling St. is on the market for $18.75 million.
