CHICAGO — At least three people were injured in shootings in Chicago Sunday.

The first victim was a 16-year-old boy was shot in Lawndale early Sunday morning.

Around 1:15 a.m., the boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of West 15th Street when a man approached him on foot and fired shots, striking him in his leg, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is in stable condition, Greer said.

No one is in custody.

At 3:09 p.m., in the 800 block of West 95th Street in Brainard, a 29-year-old man was shot in the forehead, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable conditon. Area South detectives are investigating.

About 4:40 on Sunday afternoon, a man was shot in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue in East Garfield Park, police said. He was shot multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital. His age and condition were unknown, and no more information was available.

At least 21 people were injured and three killed in shootings between Friday and Saturday nights.
