CHICAGO — Three people were killed and eight others were injured in shootings overnight Tuesday.

During a violent 30-minute stretch Tuesday, six people were shot across the city, including two fatally.

The boy was shot at 10:22 p.m. when a white car pulled up and someone fired shots, striking him in his upper right thigh. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, Gaines said.

Two teens were shot in the 10000 block of South Avenue M just three minutes later. The teens were with a group on a sidewalk when a maroon car pulled up and someone inside fired at them, Gaines said.

A 15-year-old boy was shot twice in his chest and taken to Christ in critical condition. A 16-year-old boy was shot in his side and taken to Christ in stable condition, Gaines said.

Around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, two people were shot while they were sitting in a car in the 4900 block of North Lamon Avenue. A 26-year-old was in stable condition at Our Lady of Resurrection after being shot in his back and a 20-year-old woman was at Illinois Masonic Medical Center after being shot multiple times. Her condition was unknown, Gaines said.
