CHICAGO — At least eight people were shot Tuesday, including a 14-year-old boy, police said.

The boy was wounded in Chicago Lawn, where he was shot in his left arm at 6:40 p.m. while in the 7300 block of South Maplewood Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he is in good condition. The shooting may be gang-related.

In other shootings:

• In West Englewood, a 23-year-old man was on a porch in the 1700 block of West 71st Street when someone emerged from a gangway and shot at him about 7:30 p.m., police said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, though his condition is unknown.

• About 7 p.m., a 56-year-old man was shot in his knee in North Lawndale, police said. The man is in stable condition after being taken to Mount Sinai Hospital following the shooting in the 1800 block of South Central Park Avenue.

• A 29-year-old man was shot in his ankle while walking in the 7500 block of South Yale Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing, police said. After the 5:47 p.m. incident, the man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition. The shooting may be gang-related.

• In Chicago Lawn in the 6700 block of South Oakley Avenue at 5:08 p.m., police said. A 24-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he is in stable condition after being shot under his right arm. The shooting may be gang-related, police said.

• In Logan Square, a 23-year-old man was shot in his torso while in the 3600 block of West Armitage Avenue at 4:05 p.m., police said. That man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition.

• At the same time, a 20-year-old man was shot in his back and ankle in the 1600 block of West 58th Street in West Englewood, police said. That man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

• In Roseland, an 18-year-old man was shot in his left wrist about 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of West 112th Street, police said. The man was able to take himself to Roseland Community Hospital following the shooting, which police believe may be gang-related.
