CHICAGO — Alinea is the best — again.

So says Elite Traveler, which ranked the restaurant at 1723 N. Halsted St. as tops on the planet for the third straight year.

The Lincoln Park restaurant owned by Grant Achatz was chosen in an annual poll of readers of the publication, which bills itself as the "private jet lifestyle magazine."

“Although we can’t base our existence on accolades and recognition, it’s always nice to have some reassurance that you’re doing the right thing and that people like what you’re doing," Achatz said. “It’s always nice to be recognized by your industry or your guests at the restaurant. It’s always good for morale at the restaurant."
