WEST LOOP — Chicagoans are one step closer to pigging out at Baconfest 2014 as general admission tickets for the fest go on sale Monday at noon.
More than 150 restaurants — including Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Black Dog Gelato, Endgrain, Glazed and Infused, and Lillie's Q — will hawk bacon-themed treats and products at the event, held April 25-26 at the UIC Forum.
This year, the fest will have three sessions held over the two days. A $100 general admission ticket gives fest-goers access to all bacon food and products at the event, in addition to drink tickets redeemable for beer, wine, and cocktails and a reusable Baconfest tote bag.
For more serious bacon consumers, $200 VIP tickets are available and give ticket holders early access to the festival during the Cooking Channel VIP hours, an hour prior to each general admission period.
A portion of all ticket sales supports the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
