CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in East Garfield Park, police said.
The man was shot three times in the chest in the 3100 block of West Arthington Avenue about 12:30 p.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.
Gentiles Williamson, 27, of the 3100 block of West Arthington Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:07 p.m., authorities said.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating, she said. No more information was available.
