Man Shot Dead on South Side

CHICAGO — A man died after being shot in the head in Grand Crossing Monday morning, police said.

The 27-year-old man was shot in the 7400 block of South Eberhart Avenue about 10:55 a.m., said officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.

The man was identified as Johnathan Hoskins, of the 7700 block of South Langley Avenue, by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

He was pronounced dead at the medical examiner's office at 2:15 p.m.

The man was shot a little more than an hour after a 27-year-old man was shot in the face on the West Side.
