One Dead, Two Injured in Grand Crossing Shooting

 A man in his 20's was killed and two others injured by gunfire in Greater Grand Crossing, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. The shooting occurred at about 12:10 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Champlain Avenue, police said.

CHICAGO — A shooting in Grand Crossing left one man dead and two others injured Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The three were shot in the 7500 block of South Champlain Avenue about 12:10 p.m., police said. One man was dead on the scene, police and the Chicago Fire Department said.

Two males were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, and one was found dead, Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said. One of the injured victims managed to get to 75th Street and Langley Avenue, about a block away from the shooting, Langford said.

The man found dead was later identified as Devin Common, 28, of the 7300 block of South Champlain Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Additional details were not immediately available. 

Earlier on Tuesday, a 20-year-old man was shot and killed in East Side, police said.
