The Illinois Department of Transportation is prepping to resurface Lincoln between Leland and Foster.

Transportation officials hosted a public forum Wednesday on the future of Lake Shore Drive. 

The ramp will be closed 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.

The work will likely result in street closures and continue until this summer, officials said.

The repairs will start at 11 a.m. Thursday on the inbound Kennedy Expy.

The Lawrence and Wilson Avenue viaducts, site of homeless "tent cities," are "structurally deficient."

Expect delays if you're trying to take the Stevenson Wednesday.

A westbound lane of Foster will be closed between Pulaski Road and Keeler Avenue for bridge repair work.

The bridge, which will connect the Jane Addams to Cumberland Avenue, is planned to be finished in 2018.

Some advocates say the $22.9 million project, which is already underway, could just make matters worse.

Repair work has been completed and traffic is now moving in both directions.

Work is underway now on an eastbound lane between Cumberland and Harlem on the Kennedy.

Avoid the Drive unless you're a big fan of traffic.

Prepare to detour around the construction zone, as crews work to rebuild a bridge over the river.

Outbound lanes remain closed following the afternoon crash of two big rigs and a minivan.
