Ald. Bob Fioretti proposed hearings on the CTA's Ventra system just as it was about to crash.

Alongside Mayor Emanuel, Ald. Joe Moore said the station before its rehab was an "embarrassment."

Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Ventra's corporate owner "will not get a check until this works."
