Mayor Rahm Emanuel continued to use the library as a campaign issue against Jesus "Chuy" Garcia.

Longtime Ald. Danny Solis appears to have avoided a runoff by landing 50.95 percent of the votes.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday cites a laundry list of offenses, including the mishandling of ballots.

Deb Mell responded: "I'm proud of every single vote I got. I don't know what they're talking about."

Garcia and Mayor Rahm Emanuel supporters hit the South Side with a new wave of robocalls on the library.

Before Tuesday's election, Willie Wilson said he would endorse the mayor "under no circumstances."

Mayor Rahm Emanuel did win a majority of votes in Hyde Park, however.

James Cappleman and Amy Crawford are back to campaigning in preparation for a runoff April 7.  

Cochran said he thinks the ongoing mayoral race will boost historically low turnout in runoff elections.

Ald. Bob Fioretti won more votes on the Far Northwest Side than he did in other parts of the city.

Garcia calls for "a new Chicago" and claims Emanuel has forgotten "the people who made this city great."

None of the three candidates in the 11th Ward race secured a majority of the vote Tuesday.

The president called up his alderman Thursday to complain about getting his trees trimmed.

The party will be in walking distance to the home bases for the Emanuel and Garcia camps Tuesday night.
