The fifth annual Sam Adams Lakeview Taco Fest returns this weekend on Southport Corridor.

From two Dead & Company concerts to the start of the 70mm Film Fest, there's something for everyone.

They say confidence is everything, but this goes a bit too far.

Not everyone is pleased about the latest addition to the Southport corridor.

The Southern Italian restaurant will open at 3335 N. Southport Ave. with executive chef Chris Thompson.

The handmade beauty product supplier has three other locations in Chicago.

One leasing agent had rent prices skyrocket on the west Lakeview strip over the past decade.

The dessert cafe's owner says she is moving on to the "next chapter."

"A place where you don't have to be shoulder-to-shoulder with that guy in the Patrick Kane jersey."

The annual sale runs Saturday and Sunday. Stores include Aligned Modern Health, Mint Julep and Krista K.

The festival will focus on local artists and live music from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The shops will highlight "Southport's Sweetest Things" on June 14 with specials and refreshments.

The children's store opened in Bucktown in 1998 and also has an Andersonville location.

Several retailers admitted to the occasional bad customer but said they're uncommon.

"No one buys anything," the owner said. "No one supports. I’m tired of hearing their crap."
