The parents of Hadiya Pendleton honored the anniversary by gathering with other families of gun victims.

South Side McDonald's owner Yolanda Travis donated $1,000 Friday to the Hadiya Pendleton Foundation.

The City Council Housing Committee approved the $1 use agreement for the charity's use.

A toy drive sponsored by the Hadiya Pendleton Foundation aims to bring Christmas joy to kids in need.
