The Lucas Museum's retreat from Chicago is drawing all kinds of reactions from Chicagoans.

Earlier reports had said the parks group would drop its lawsuit, allowing the museum to be built.

Gino Generelli claimed to have 2,500 signatures, more than a anti-museum petition being circulated.

The passes cover games through December, indicating that construction is unlikely to start this year.

Rev. Leon Finney led the protest by the Coalition 2 Build the Lucas Museum.

Lucas has discussed plans with San Francisco mayor Ed Lee, the  San Francisco Chronicle  reported.

"I will make sure Chicago is on the winning side, not the losing side," said Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

"Their abrupt and complete change of position has proven that they cannot be trusted," Emanuel said.
