The Plan Commission unanimously approved the North Branch Industrial Corridor Modernization Plan.

The framework was to be presented to the Plan Commission for final approval Thursday.

The North Branch Industrial Corridor Modernization Plan is now expected to be approved May 18.

The Department of Planning and Development set April 7 for the final public meeting on the plan.

"We're afraid," local resident Kara Castaneda countered. "We're scared to live here."

One neighborhood leader suggested the property be used for the park being pushed by Ald. Michele Smith.
