Locals will be shedding more than their inhibitions when they drop trou for the Naked Bike Ride.

Participants bike about 12 miles throughout Chicago to show support for "man-powered wheels:" bicycles, scooters and rollerskates, among other things. Bicyclists ride nude or nearly so, donning body paint, tape or socks.

This is the event's 10th anniversary. Participation is free. Attendees should arrive at the starting location in clothes and then strip down. All participants should have a container to hold their clothing while they ride.

The starting location will be announced on the day of the event. Subscribe via email at the organizers' website, Chicagonakedride.org, or visit the event's check-in spot, 1025 W. Randolph, at 6 p.m. the day of the event to learn where the bicyclists will start their ride.
