Melissa Hsiung is the Product Manager for Neighborhood Square at DNAinfo New York. She believes that technology can be a tool for strengthening neighborhoods and facilitating civic engagement.
Before joining DNAinfo, Melissa was a technical project manager specializing in content-driven sites. She’s worked on projects for CNBC, ArtNEWS, and Rosenfeld Media. She also volunteers with New York Cares.
Melissa graduated from Penn State with a degree in English.
Fun fact: They said it couldn’t be done, but Melissa taught herself to not hate cilantro. She can now eat at Mexican and Vietnamese restaurants like a normal person.
