After working in a bookstore for a while and then the Genius Bar for a few years, she spent some time at an internet startup making sure that their offices ran smoothly before joining DNAinfo and continuing to do the same, trying to learn new things along the way.
Amanda can often be found in her friends’ basement playing tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons and enjoys her life as a nerd, visiting as many game shops as she can.
Fun fact: Amanda once trained a betta fish to move, jump to catch food and puff it’s fins all on command.
