Senior Editor @lizzieschiffman Contact

Lizzie Schiffman Tufano is a Senior Editor at DNAinfo Chicago.

She previously was a reporter/producer covering Downtown, the Gold Coast, the Loop, River North, the South Loop and Streeterville at DNAinfo Chicago.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Lizzie takes after her grandfather, who was editor of the Forest Park Review. She studied journalism at Northwestern University's Medill school and then briefly fled Chicago for reporting stints in Washington, D.C. and New York.

Before joining DNAinfo, Lizzie contributed to The Chicago Reporter and Chicago Public Radio's Eight Forty-Eight. In 2011 she joined The Huffington Post, where she was Associate Editor of the Chicago section.

Lizzie lives in Uptown with her husband Patrick and their tabby cat Scoop.

Fun Fact: Lizzie was a vegetarian for 8 years and a vegan for one before falling off the wagon for one late-night steak. It was worth it.
