WICKER PARK — The Robey wants to give local residents a few more reasons to check out the boutique hotel at the neighborhood's main intersection.

Beginning Monday, Cafe Robey at 1600 N. Milwaukee Ave. is launching a discount just for neighbors in Wicker Park and Bucktown, according to the hotel's general manager Santiago Leon.

On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, guests who show identification with a 60647 or 60622 ZIP code or a piece of mail addressed to them will get 20 percent off their entire bill at the hotel's first-floor restaurant.

Cafe Robey serves up cheeseburgers and fried chicken sandwiches, as well as duck pastrami, New York strip steak, pork loin benedict and more.

Additionally, now that the weather is getting colder, Leon said the hotel has "enhanced our offerings quite a bit on the second floor [lounge] in both food and beverage."

"When Cabana Club is offseason, we start to activate the Lounge much more," Leon said.

The Lounge's new menu offers comfort food such as grilled cheese and tomato soup, bacon-wrapped dates and a roast beef sandwich. The locals-only discount is only for Cafe Robey's menu and not for food or drinks at the Lounge.

For music lovers, the second-floor hangout also offers live music on Wednesday nights as part of a new "After Work at The Robey" series. The free shows start at 6:30 on Wednesdays.
