CHICAGO — A fisherman spotted human remains in a duffel bag at Lincoln Park Lagoon Saturday morning, police said.
Police were called to the lagoon at 11 a.m. who told them he suspected there were human remains in a duffel bag he found. Marine divers and detectives then found another bag with human remains.
Authorities believe the remains belong to the same person.
The incident is being treated as a death investigation. Police are looking at missing person leads while the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office is inspecting the remains.
