3 People Robbed At Gunpoint On North Side, Police Warn

ALBANY PARK — Police have issued a community alert following three recent incidents in which victims were robbed at gunpoint on the North Side.

The robberies were all reported in the Albany Park Police District, in locations stretching from Avondale to North Mayfair.

Victims were approached by a man with a gun, who stole property and drove off, in two of the incidents, in an SUV.

The incidents occurred:

• In the 4300 block of West Ainslie Street, at 8:26 p.m. Oct. 9.

• In the 4600 block of North Monticello Avenue, at 4 a.m., Oct. 10.

• In the 3400 block of North Albany Avenue, at 4:13 p.m., Monday.

The gunman is described as 5-feet to 5-foot-2 inches tall, and in his late teens or early 20s.
