CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man died one day after being shot in Austin, officials said.
At 8:50 p.m. Monday, the man was in the 200 block of North Mason Avenue when he was shot in his head, police said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police originally said the man had died, but later said he had been revived and was in critical condition.
But Terrence Lipsey, of the 300 block of North Mason Avenue, died at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
