MAYFAIR — Nothing against today's crop of indistinguishable four-door sedans, but curb appeal is not their strong suit.
What yesterday's cars lacked in fuel efficiency and safety features, they more than made up for in style, all of which will be on display noon to 4 p.m. Sunday during Marie's Pizza annual Classic Car Show, 4129 W. Lawrence Ave.
Tailfins, hood ornaments, white wall tires and tons and tons of chrome will make a one-day comeback, along with bench seats, ashtrays and manual window cranks. Heck, manual everything.
In 2016, more than 130 cars filled Marie's parking lot and lined nearby streets. To take part in the show, register between 11 a.m. and noon on Sunday.
A rain date has been set for Oct. 15.
