WASHINGTON PARK — Armed robbers have struck three times in a little more than a week in Washington Park, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Police issued an alert late Wednesday after three people reported being robbed at gunpoint while walking down the street or in a parking lot.

The first robbery was between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 5500 block of South Wentworth Avenue.

It was followed by two robberies in the 100 block of East Garfield Boulevard, the first at 4:10 a.m. Sept. 27 and another at 12:15 a.m. Saturday.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8380.
