CHICAGO — The high-flying acrobatics of Midnight Circus in the Parks will return this weekend to Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave., bringing four shows expected to raise thousands of dollars for the Norwood Park space.

Describing themselves as a "young, brash, troupe of performers," the Midnight Circus has spent a decade touring the city's parks to raise money for their facilities and programs.

The show raised about $10,000 for Oriole Park when it came to the neighborhood last year, and it's expected to net a similar sum this year, said Liz Dechant, the president of the park's advisory council.

The money will help fund a new garden, picnic tables and a series of youth music and language programs, Dechant said.

The troupe will bring four shows to the park this weekend, at 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets can be bought online for $20 each. Children under 2 will be admitted for free.
