LOGAN SQUARE — Here's a consolation for Parson's fans mourning the end of patio season: The wildly popular restaurant/bar is serving brunch again.

Parson's, at 2952 W. Armitage Ave., launched a new brunch menu this week, which will be available weekdays 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. through the winter, the owners announced.

Some menu newcomers include shrimp and grits (three sisters cornmal, laughing bird shrimp, bacon, sauce Creole, poached egg and scallions), Migas (chicken and bacon chorizo, gaujillo salsa, crispy tortillas, scrambled eggs, chihuahua cheese and avocado and chicken cutlet (potato pancake, chunky apple sauce, creme fraiche, sunny side egg, sweet fried garlic and sesame).

But expect to see some old favorites like the early riser (two fried eggs, hash browns and toast) and chicken and waffles (Belgian waffle, fried chicken thigh, maple brown butter and sunny side egg) on the menu as well.

Patrons can wash it all down with boozy brunch drinks like the blood & leather and amaretto sour.
