LINCOLN SQUARE — "Blade Runner 2049," starring Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, is one of the most buzzed about movies of the fall.

Before the flick hits theaters Friday, catch a free screening of the original "Blade Runner" at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Theater, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave.

Released in 1982, "Blade Runner" is set in Los Angeles in the "futuristic" year of 2019. Ford plays the titular "blade runner," an ex-cop assigned to assassinate androids known as "replicants."

The sequel introduces Gosling as a young blade runner whose "discovery of a long-buried secret" leads him to track down Ford's character, missing for 30 years.

Seating for the free screening is first-come, first-served.
