CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot to death and a woman seriously wounded in South Shore on Sunday, police said.
At 10:27 a.m., the two were in the 2600 block of East 75th Street when they were shot, police said.
The man was hit multiple times in his head and back and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Tommie Jones, of the 7700 block of South Champlain, was pronounced dead at 10:36 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The woman, 26, was hit in her lower back and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
