CHICAGO — A person was shot to death in West Woodlawn on Monday night, police said.
At 9:47 p.m., officers went to the 6400 block of South Langley Avenue for a call of shots fired and found the victim in an alley, police said. He had been shot multiple times in his head and body.
Michael Hickingbottom, 16, of the 12000 block of South Indiana Avenue, was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
