LOGAN SQUARE — Family-run consignment shop Alex's Attic is set to open on a popular stretch of Milwaukee Avenue Oct. 7.

Siblings Frank and Jamie Marquez are behind the new shop, 2733 N. Milwaukee Ave., which is named after the notoriously jam-packed attic in their longtime Belmont Cragin home and their 5-year-old brother, Alex.

The shop will sell all kinds of second-hand clothing, shoes and accessories at varying prices. Like a typical consignment shop, folks are encouraged to come in and sell their old stuff.

The shop hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. seven days a week.

"I've been on this strip for years since I was 15," Frank Marquez previously said.

"Logan Square has changed, and I just want to be a part of it," he added.
