Household Electronics, Hazardous Waste Will Be Collected Oct. 7 In Beverly

BEVERLY — The Beverly Unitarian Church will host a hazardous household waste collection from 8:30-11 a.m. Oct. 7.

The church commonly known as The Castle at 10244 S. Longwood Drive in Beverly will also collect and safely dispose of household electronic devices as part of the effort.

The event is organized by the church's Green Sanctuary Group and Beverly Bank. The collection will occur in the parking lot on the northeast corner of 103rd Street and Seeley Avenue.

Most common household waste products and electronic devices will be accepted. Some items that will not be picked up include those containing Freon, incandescent bulbs, appliances, alkaline batteries, bio-hazardous products, needles, latex, acrylic or water-based paints, caulk and cleaning products.

Aside from the waste materials, textbooks and eyeglasses also will be accepted for reuse. Donations are requested to help defray the cost of the collection. For information, call 773-708-5111.
