John Bolden, 47, Dies After Washington Heights Shooting

CHICAGO — A 47-year-old man died after a Sunday shooting in Washington Heights, officials said.

At 11:22 p.m. Sunday, the man was sitting in a parked car in the 10100 block of South Racine Avenue when someone in a gray car fired shots, police said. The man was hit in the left side of his body and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.

John Bolden, of the same block where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No one was in custody.
