BRIDGEPORT — Here are five things to do in the neighborhood this weekend.

Friday and Saturday:

Maria's Community Bar hosts the Spacebuster: An inflated, balloon-like community space will be erected outside Maria's from Thursday-Saturday and will host experimental music jam sessions, film projections, forums and even a piano-playing robot. 960 W. 31st St., 6-9 p.m. Friday and noon-9 p.m. Saturday

Bridgeport Catholic Academy Rock The Block party: Support the local Catholic grammar school and enjoy carnival fare like rides, games, face painting, a beer garden and food from Freddies. 3700 S. Lowe Ave., 1-10 p.m.

• Lowe Avenue Double Block Sale: The annual multi-block sale returns Saturday. 3300-3500 S. Lowe Ave., 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Bike the South Branch of the Chicago River: The Active Transportation Alliance is hosting a bike tour of the Chicago River's south branch Sunday. Riders will met at Adams and Dearborn and will ride along the river, stopping at the Eleanor Street Boathouse and ending in Ping Tom Park in Chinatown.
