AVONDALE — Honey Butter Fried Chicken is celebrating its four-year anniversary with an all-day party complete with deals on fried chicken and beer plus confetti dump cake.

Head to the popular Avondale eatery, 3361 N. Elston Ave., anytime from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday to take part in the celebration.

In addition to cheap fried chicken strips ($4), Honey Butter will serve cans of Top Notch beer ($4), a fruity lager made in collaboration with Half Acre Brewery, as well as slices of confetti dump cake ($5).

Honey Butter Fried Chicken opened in 2013 at Elston Avenue and Roscoe Street. Chef Christine Cikowski and her partner Josh Kulp frequently collaborate with other Chicago restaurants and advocate for paid time off in the food industry.

Honey Butter prides itself on serving humanely raised, antibiotic-free chicken and produce from local farms and partnering with community organizations on projects like the Avondale Restaurant Crawl.
