CHICAGO — A man was found fatally shot in Austin early Tuesday, police said.
At 4:42 a.m., the man was found lying on the ground in the 5000 block of West Monroe Street, police said. He had been shot in his face and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was identified as Isaac Hughes-Allen, 32, of the 2200 block of North Lavergne, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Hughes-Allen was pronounced dead at 4:55 a.m. and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
Investigators were not yet sure what led up to the shooting.
No one was in custody.
