CHICAGO — An SUV driver died after crashing his car head-on Friday night into a CTA bus in Washington Park, police said.
The incident occurred in the 5900 block of South King Drive around 11:35 p;m.
The SUV was going northbound at a high-rate of speed before crossing the median and striking the bus.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
The SUV driver, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
The bus driver, a 47-year-old man, and a 23-year-old male passenger were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Another passenger, a 41-year-old man, was taken to University of Chicago Hospitals.
All are listed as "stable."
