CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded eight since Wednesday morning, police said.

• At 9:44 p.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old man was shot and killed while standing on a porch in Englewood.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 8 p.m. Wednesday, an 18-year-old man was shot while walking in West Humboldt Park.

• At 7:12 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Little Village.

• At 5:35 p.m., four people were shot while standing in a parking lot in Garfield Park.

• At 10:14 a.m., a 26-year-old woman was shot and seriously wounded during a "domestic dispute" in Burnside, police said. The man who police said shot her took his own life.

• At 7:39 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was walking in the 7200 block of South Peoria Street when someone fired shots at him.

The man was hit in his right calf and he was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
