WATCH: Green Day Invited Fan To Play On Stage At Wrigley — He Nailed It

WRIGLEYVILLE — Green Day fans had the time of their lives Thursday night at a sold-out concert at Wrigley Field.

One in particular.

The band invited a young man from the crowd on stage to play guitar for their song "Knowledge." The man — "Richie" — wasn't half bad, strutting the stage like a pro and ending with a well-timed jump.

He left to the chants of "Richie! Richie!" (Though one person can be heard on the video yelling "Get off the stage!")

The band members have been known to make fans part of the show. They did it last year when they played the Aragon Ballroom. Earlier this week, while performing in Kentucky, they invited an 11-year-old girl to play "Knowledge.

"There were 20,000 people shouting my name," the sixth-grader told the local paper.
