2 Charged With Carjacking At Gunpoint In Chicago Lawn

CHICAGO — Two men have been charged in a Chicago Lawn carjacking from Thursday night, police said.

At 11:55 p.m. Thursday, a 25-year-old man was in the 6100 block of South Western Avenue when two men walked up to him and held him up at gunpoint, police said. The men took the victim's cellphone and SUV.

Officers saw the men in the victim's SUV while responding to the robbery, police said. The men got out of the car and tried to run away, police said, but they were taken into custody.

Edward Cattron, 19, of Normal, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, armed robbery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

Antoine Green, 19, of the 6300 block of South Maplewood Avenue, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking and armed robbery, police said.

Cattron and Green were scheduled to appear in bond court on Saturday.
