CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded three others since Monday morning, police said.

• At 9:30 a.m. Monday, a 17-year-old was shot and killed in Austin. Police said the teen was stealing a car when the car's owner shot at him in self-defense.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 11:50 p.m. Monday, a 17-year-old was shot and critically wounded in Bridgeport.

• At 11:22 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in Roseland, police said. The man was walking to his door in the 11300 block of South Eggleston Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was shot four times in his leg and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.

• At 12:50 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was standing in the 7300 block of South Sangamon Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

A bullet grazed the man's leg and he was taken to a hospital, police said. His condition was not available.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
