WEST RIDGE — From food to fine jewelry, the very best of Devon Avenue will be on display this weekend during the Inside/Outside Devon international sidewalk sale and bazaar.

Immediately after the India Independence Day parade, from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, dozens of Devon Avenue businesses between Damen and Kedzie will participate in special sales and discounts both inside their stores and along the sidewalk. The event will also take place on Western Avenue from Granville to Arthur.

The stretch represents the diversity of the businesses and residents who set up shop and occupy the West Ridge neighborhood, with heavy influence from Southeast Asia and India, Pakistan, Iraq and Syria, as well as Jewish.

Among those offering deals will be Meerath Kabob House, an authentic Pakistani restaurant, at 2656 W. Devon Ave.; Vitha Jewelers at 2651 W. Devon Ave.; and Deeba Beauty Salon, 2752 W. Devon Ave., who offers henna body painting and intricate Mehndi designs.

The event is put on by the Rogers Park Business Alliance and Devon Special Service Area No. 43, which covers the area.
