Lincoln Square Business Robbed At Knifepoint: Police

LINCOLN SQUARE — A Lincoln Square business was among a string of shops recently robbed by a knife-wielding man, according to police.

An alert was issued following a trio of robberies, including an incident in the 4600 block of North Western Avenue, at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 4.

In all of the robberies, the man entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money.

The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic male, 5-feet 10-inches to 6-feet 1-inch, weighing 160-220 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a physical impairment on the left eye. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The other incidents also took place during the afternoon:

• 5:16 p.m. July 28 in the 4700 block of West Fullerton Avenue.

• 12:41 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 3500 block of West 26th Street.
