CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot when a basketball game turned into an argument Sunday in Woodlawn, police said.

At 4:17 p.m., the man was playing basketball with friends in the 1900 block of East Hayes Drive when he got into an argument with someone and the other person took out a gun and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his left leg and he took himself to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The attacker drove away in a dark-colored car, police said. No one was in custody.
