WASHINGTON PARK — Two people were shot and injured within minutes of each other in the same block of South King Drive on Saturday evening, police said.
At 8:23 p.m., a 33-year-old woman was wounded in the in the 6200 block of South King Drive in Washington Park, police said. The woman was walking outside when a man fired shots.
A bullet grazed the woman's ear and she refused medical attention, police said.
The attacker wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, police said.
At 8:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, police said. The man was walking in the 6200 block of South King Drive when he heard shots and realized he'd been wounded.
A bullet grazed the man's left hip and he was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
