How Bridgeport-Area Schools Fared In CPS Budget Cuts

BRIDGEPORT — More than 30 teachers and staff at Bridgeport, Chinatown and McKinley Park schools will see their positions cut this school year, according to figures released by CPS.

The cuts were announced this week after CPS said its 2017-2018 budget will be about $43 million less than last year's. The district will lay of 956, including 356 teachers, it said.

Here is how Bridgeport-area schools were impacted by the cuts. (Editor's note, if an area school is not on the list, then it was not included in CPS list of cuts.)

Air Force Academy High School: 0 teachers, 2 support

Armour Elementary: 0 teachers; 1 support

Graham Elementary: 3 teachers, 2 support

Greene Elementary: 4 teachers, 2 support

Holden Elementary: 4 teachers; 2 support

Healy Elementary: 0 teachers; 5 support

McClellan Elementary: 1 teacher, 2 support

Tilden High School: 1 teacher, 4 support
