LINCOLN SQUARE — Baker Miller is turning over its kitchen to Mexico City caterer Amodotradicional for a one-night pop-up dinner of dishes not commonly found on U.S. menus.

The highlight of the five-course meal will be Chile en Nogada, described as meat-stuffed poblano chiles bathed in a walnut cream sauce and garnished with pomegranate seeds. The dish is typically served in September to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day because its red, white and green colors resemble the country's flag.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the pop-up, set for Aug. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Baker Miller's Lincoln Square location, 4610 N. Western Ave. Tickets can be purchased online or at Baker Miller.

Cost is $45, gratuity not included, and the dinner is BYOB. Vegetarian options will be provided.

Amodotradicional is owned by the family of a member of Baker Miller's team.

"We are very excited for this great opportunity to showcase what we enjoy doing and to share our culinary traditions," Amodotradicional posted to social media.
