CHICAGO — Ten people were wounded in shootings citywide since Friday morning, police said.
None of the victims died as of Saturday morning.
The incidents include:
• A 29-year-old man was shot in a car in an Albany Park alley early Saturday morning.
• In North Lawndale around 11:20 p.m. Friday, a 37-year-old man was shot on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of South Drake Avenue. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital after being wounded in his right leg.
• In Englewood around 10:15 p.m., a 36-year-old man was shot in a parked car in the 7500 block of South Union Avenue. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition after being wounded in his right shoulder.
• In Brighton Park around 8:24 p.m., a man and woman were grazed with bullets in the 2900 block of West 40th Street. The 20-year-old man was grazed in his chest while the 25-year-old woman was grazed in her neck. Both refused to be taken to a hospital.
• In Austin around 7:55 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot while sitting in front of a home in the 1100 block of North Lockwood Avenue. Someone walked up and shot him him, wounding him in his lower back. The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital.
• In Chicago Lawn around 4:39 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot after getting into a fight with another man inside a business in the 2700 block of West 63rd Street. The other man shot the victim in his side as both left the building.
The victim was sent to Christ Hospital, while police said they took the shooter into custody.
• In Humboldt Park around 4:20 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot following a robbery in the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue.
The man was walking by a group when someone approached and took money from his pocket. The man decided to run and someone shot him in his right arm.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital.
• In Woodlawn around 1:13 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was shot in her side while in the 6100 block of South Langley Avenue. She was taken to Stroger Hospital.
• In Austin around 12:23 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in his leg while in the 700 block of North LeClaire Avenue. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
