GRANT PARK — Torrential rains sent Lorde and Muse fans home early from Lollapalooza Thursday night, but all signs point toward a less chaotic second day for the massive music festival in Grant Park.

Though The Pretty Reckless had to cancel their set Friday afternoon due to travel-related issues out of New York, all other shows have proceeded as planned despite damp conditions Friday at Lollapalooza.

Though some parts of the park are muddy from Thursday's storms, Lower Hutchinson Field and other busy Lolla stage venues have held up throughout the festival's second day.

Melissa Stratton, a spokesman for the city's Office of Emergency Management, reported no problems Friday.

Friday's fall-like temperatures are a big switch from Thursday's swampy atmosphere, driving many festival goers to wear jackets, flannel and other threads that aren't usually seen at outdoor music festivals in August.

Tonight's forecast for Grant Park says there's little chance of rain with temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

Saturday, temps are forecast for the upper 70s with a 20 percent chance of rain. Sunday has a high of 67 degrees and a 60 percent chance of rain.

Friday night's Lollapalooza headliners include Blink-182, The Killers and DJ Snake.
